Inavate APAC Awards 2025 - Entry Requirements

Judging Criteria 

 

A panel of judges has been chosen to ensure scores are delivered from the viewpoints of a number of disciplines representative of the complete business cycle of any new build or AV technology upgrade. 

 

Please note that all entries are judged solely on the information supplied as part of the entry submission. No other information for outside sources is considers.  Give your project the greatest chance of being recognised by supplying an informative and well-presented case study style document that demonstrates an attempt to satisfy all aspects of the required judging criteria. 

 

Eligibility Requirements 

 

Deadline for Entries: 30th May 2025 

 

Eligible projects for the Project Award Categories must have been completed between 1st June 2024 and 31st May 2025. 

 

Entries for Business Award Categories, except for AV ICON APAC, must highlight business activities between 1st June 2024 and 31st May 2025. 
 

The small print 

 

All entries must be submitted online. 

 

The judges will be looking for a good story, well told, and backed up with solid metrics where applicable. 

 

You may enter as many categories as you wish, but you must complete a separate submission for each one.

Documents should be in PDF or Word doc format. 

 

We encourage video however please provide a link to video hosted elsewhere rather than a video file. 

 

PowerPoint files will not be accepted.  

 

Any information submitted outside these guidelines will not be considered. 

Project Award Categories 

 

Corporate  

Entries will detail a fully integrated AV system successfully implemented within a business-to-business environment such as a boardroom, meeting room or entire office facility. 

 

Education  

Entries will detail a fully integrated AV system successfully implemented within an educational facility, such as a school, higher education establishment or training centre. 

 

Hospitality 

Entries will show a fully integrated AV system successfully implemented within a facility that entertains and accommodates guests such as a hotel, nightclub or restaurant. Details of temporary installations will also be considered. 

 

Visitor Attraction 

Entries will detail a fully integrated AV system successfully implemented within a visitor attraction such as a museum, theme park or gallery. Special consideration will also be given to interactivity and content. 

 

Leisure & Entertainment 

Entries will show a fully integrated AV system successfully implemented within a leisure or entertainment facility such as a theatre, cinema, auditorium, multipurpose venue or sports facility. 

 

Retail 

Entries will detail a fully integrated AV system successfully implemented within a retail environment such as an individual outlet or larger retail centre. Examples might include in-store messaging systems, as well as digital signage or public safety solutions. 

 

House of Worship [New] 

Entries should detail technology within a place of worship such as mosque, church, synagogue or temple. Systems to capture and broadcast services and events to other places of worship, congregation members at home or saved as a resource for worshippers will also be considered. 

 

Experience Centre 

Entries need to highlight dedicated zones or spaces for the purpose showcasing an ‘experience’ and telling a story created by AV systems. There must be proof of integration and deployment of systems, defined as different product types integrated together to perform a function. 

Business Award Categories 

 

Consultant of the Year APAC 

Entries will highlight a body of AV work designed, delivered and commissioned over the course of the required time frame in Asia Pacific. The submission should highlight the professionalism and breadth of work that has been accomplished by the consultant. 

 

Distributor of the Year APAC 

Entries will show the contribution made to the deployment of AV systems from the point of view of a distributor for the Asia Pacific region. Submissions should focus on demonstrating the value added to build projects. 

 

Integrator of the Year APAC 

Entries should show the accomplishments and growth of an integrator or integration business in a country or region that is part of Asia Pacific over the course of the last year. 

 

Manufacturer of the Year APAC 

Entries should demonstrate significant achievements, business and growth in the Asia Pacific region by a company or business that manufacturers products [hardware or software] for use by AV professionals. 

 

AV ICON APAC 

Entries will detail a lifetime and achievement. Submissions must also highlight how the individual has made contributions to the advancement of the AV industry and has significantly influenced the course of AV throughout their career.
